We build bridges between medicine, technology, and entrepreneurship
How it started
2020-2021: LMUAIM was launched as one of the pioneering AI initiatives in medicine by five students who, after participating in a summer school on AI in Healthcare, recognized the absence of such an initiative. The early phase saw initial industry collaborations, the development of a Coding Bootcamp, and the organization of a symposium on AI in Medicine.
2021 – 2022: We expanded our program to include extracurricular events such as a lecture series and startup visits, and celebrated our first scientific publications.
2022 – 2023: With growing interest from various academic fields and universities, we rebranded as One AIM to foster collaboration beyond a single institution, emphasizing interdisciplinary exchange and community building.
2023 – 2024: We introduced AIM Connect, an intensive MedTech study program, and hosted the inaugural OneAIM Summer Summit, which united the AIM community for a collaborative and engaging experience.

Paulina Möhrle
I'm fascinated by the transformative potential of AI in healthcare, particularly its ability to enhance predictive analysis, improve diagnostic accuracy and personalize therapies.
Melvin Tjiok
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at LMU Munich, with a strong commitment to driving collaborative innovations at the intersection of medicine and informatics.
Matthias Lutz
In 2023 we founded our AIMConnect program, bringing together students from medical and tech fields with cross-disciplinary insights into the MedTech industry, while also positioning OneAIM as a leading initiative in the sector.
Tim Wiegand
I’m a final-year medical student at LMU and a co-founder of OneAIM. My goal is to focus on bridging specialties to foster collaboration and drive innovation in start-ups and research initiatives.
Finn Kosina
Through my medical studies, I have come to recognize that seamless collaboration between technical and medical disciplines is crucial for addressing the growing resource shortages in the healthcare sector.
Luisa Schuhmacher
I'm most excited about the potential that interdisciplinarity holds in the field of innovative healthcare, in order to ask the right questions and develop MedTech solutions that are actually meaningful and implementable in daily clinical routines.
Samuel Rupp
As a fifth-year medical student, I am excited about projects that harness the disruptive potential of digitalization and artificial intelligence in healthcare, such as leveraging large observational and multimodal data to enhance clinical workflows.
Maximilian Fehrentz
Pursuing a Master’s degree in Informatics, I'm particularly excited about 3D computer vision and currently engaged in a research project on image-guided neurosurgery.
Liv Kanja
I truly believe in the importance of bringing students from diverse disciplines together to fully harness the potential of MedTech innovations.

What fascinates me most about MedTech are the numerous possibilities to refine and personalize diagnostics and therapy, with AI playing a key role in developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, thereby enhancing therapeutic effectiveness.
Augustin Droste
I’m in my final year of medical studies, with a strong interest in healthcare entrepreneurship and technology.
Leni Kulisch
Jon Rischewski
As a medical student, I am particularly intrigued by the emerging possibilities of intelligent technologies in medicine, and my doctoral thesis focuses on evaluating image segmentation algorithms and their potential benefits in radiology.
Celine Röder
I'm studying medicine and what I love most about MedTech is the impact it creates for every one of us on a large and small scale.
Felix Salcher
During my medical studies, working at clinics, start-ups, and a healthcare-focused VC has provided me with valuable insights into various aspects of medical innovation and underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Laura Velezmoro
Fascinated by the potential of AI in medicine and eager to work in an interdisciplinary team, I have been with AIM almost from the beginning and conducted research on AI's role in radiotherapy for my doctoral thesis.
Jonas Gudera
I’m fascinated by the potential of neural networks for omics analyses in biomedical research, particularly for discovering rare blood diseases in children, which is the focus of my doctoral thesis.
