Hackathon is composed of the words “Hack” or “Hacking” and “Marathon”. At a hackathon, small teams develop creative digital solutions (e.g., in the form of an app or web application) within a short period of time (hours or a few days) based on predefined questions (“Challenges”).
To participate in the Health Hackathon, you will need a computer with reliable internet access, software development tools relevant to your project (e.g., IDEs for coding, data analysis software), collaboration tools (like Slack or Microsoft Teams for communication, and GitHub for version control), and any specific hardware or software pertinent to your hackathon challenge, such as wearable device SDKs for health tracking projects. Access to research databases or APIs for health data might also be beneficial.
